Take your High Torque Mod Motor to the next level with our Mod Motor Tune Service—a precision retune of your stock ETM RTR controller that unlocks the motor’s full thermal capability, raising the operating limit by 30°C.
This service is designed for riders who are pushing the limits—especially in competitive racing—and want every ounce of performance their motor can deliver. With this tune, your RTR can sustain higher output for longer, giving you more power under stress, more consistency in demanding conditions, and the confidence to ride harder.
Please Note:
- This is a mail-in service. You must send in your stock motor controller.
- Inbound shipping will be provided within 72 business hours of placing order (See warning below)
- This service is optional—the High Torque Mod Motor runs great without it, staying cooler and delivering a big performance boost right out of the box.
What’s Included:
- Shipping to send controller in within the lower 48 states
- Custom performance tune applied to your factory controller
- Unlocks the motor’s full 30°C increased thermal window

WARNING: You MUST have a Mod Motor and proof of purchase! If you do not have or can’t provide proof, your order for this service will be cancelled, this service is NOT for the stock ETM RTR motor.
WARNING: You MUST have a 72v nominal battery and proof of purchase! If you do not have or can’t provide proof, your order for this service will be cancelled.
⚠️ Voltage Compatibility Disclaimer
Once your controller has been tuned for a 72V nominal battery, it will no longer be compatible with a 60V nominal system.
Attempting to use a 60V battery with a 72V-tuned controller may result in:
-
Failure to power on
-
Undervoltage faults
-
Erratic or unstable behavior
-
Potential damage to the controller or powertrain
However, a 60V-tuned controller can operate with a 72V battery, but it will:
- Not have voltage tapering and you may experience a sudden power shut off when running at low power.
If you're planning to run a 72V battery, we highly recommend performing a proper 72V tune for full performance, compatibility, and safety.
